Nick Mike-Mayer : ウィキペディア英語版 | Nick Mike-Mayer
Nicholas "Nick" Mike-Mayer (born March 1, 1950) is a former American football placekicker in the National Football League from 1973-1982 for the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Buffalo Bills. Nick made the Pro Bowl in his rookie year. He later played with the San Antonio Gunslingers of the United States Football League. His brother Steve Mike-Mayer also played in the NFL. Mike-Mayer would later go on to play in the Arena Football League for the Chicago Bruisers in the 1987 season. == Notoriety == Mike-Mayer played an unwitting role in one of the biggest blunders in NFL history. In 1982, he was the kicker for the Buffalo Bills, but the Bills also drafted Syracuse University kicker Gary Anderson that year. The Bills chose to keep Mike-Mayer and cut Anderson after a poor performance in training camp. Mike-Mayer didn't last the season with the Bills, while Anderson became a Pro Bowl kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
